A Framework for Considering the Utility of Models When Facing Tough Decisions in Public Health: A Guideline for Policy-Makers

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted how models developed at a rapid pace have become central to decision-making, and that policy-makers need to be more confident about which models will be most helpful when taking public health decisions. We present a three-stage framework for achieving these ends, providing practical guidance for policy-makers on how to evaluate and utilise models in public health decision-making.
