Published in Digital Society, Vol. 3, 48, 2024

This manuscript provides an extensive review of the literature on biases and fairness in AI focusing on the field of agriculture. We discuss the need for a holistic and inclusive approach to mitigate AI biases, ensuring that AI advancements benefit a broad spectrum of farming communities. The work examines how biases in data, algorithms, and deployment contexts can disproportionately affect agricultural stakeholders.
