Including Social Behaviour in Demand Forecasts Changes Regional Electricity Demand Estimates: Insights from an Australian Case Study

Published in SSRN (Working Paper), 2026

Using an Australian case study, we show that accounting for behavioural dynamics can materially change forecast outcomes compared to conventional approaches, with implications for energy planning and policy.
