Towards Modelling Energy Demand of Vehicles in Cities: An Agent-Based Method
Published in 30th Annual Geographical Information Science Research UK (GISRUK) Conference, Liverpool, UK, 2022
This study employs an agent-based model of vehicle activity to quantify electric energy consumption through the simulation of a heterogeneous fleet of electric vehicles within an urban street network under several experimental conditions. The work provides insights into how urban driving patterns affect energy demand in cities transitioning to electric vehicle fleets.
